I was grateful for the opportunity to join the Dawoodi Bohras of Detroit to clean up Farmington Hills and protect the natural resources we are blessed to steward. I’m proud of the work Governor Whitmer and I have done to protect Michigan’s environment, and I encourage every Michigander to take time to step up and make a difference.

Garlin Gilchrist

Lt. Governor

The month of Ramadan embodies the spirit all of us at City Hall should be bringing to our work to make Los Angeles a place we’re proud to call home. It is a month that provides us opportunities for heightened charity, for good deeds, for community, for rededicating ourselves to spiritual undertaking, and for renewed vigor in all that we do. It is a pleasure for me and my staff to be here, and to join hands with this community that truly lives out the values of its faith: a faith that is practised by serving others in their communities.

Nithya Raman

Council Member

“This community stands for things that we can all learn from. For kindness, generosity, and selflessness. I constantly refer to them when I talk to my officers: this is how you should treat somebody, this is how you should expect to be treated. If you're ever near the mosque and in need, I guarantee someone will help you. I truly respect everything the Dawoodi Bohra community represents, what it brings, and what they contribute to our community. They were the first ones to stand up food drives during COVID and in fact they lasted longer than others, beyond what was the norm back then, and that's just one of the things they do… It's just incredible the things this community contributes, and thanklessly. That's what we should all aspire to be"

Montgomery County Police Chief Yamada

“These are the things that make the people, who are kind of down on their luck, feel like they are part of our community and that we care. And I know that's what the Dawoodi Bohras want us to feel. And I have always felt that love coming from this building and these people.”

Kim Sanchez Tampa

“The Dawoodi Bohras of Tampa continue to give so much to this great city. While small in number, their presence is felt far and wide, both in their professional contributions and in their extensive charitable work to support local vulnerable people and protect our natural environment. I thank them for their tremendous service.”

Mayor of Tampa

“One of our incredible sponsors is the Dawoodi Bohra community. I want to thank them for embodying the spirit of California Volunteers and living the values every day that we can take care of our environment and we can take care of our community at the same time”.

Josh Fryday

Chief Service Officer, California

“The level of dedication and involvement demonstrated by the Dawoodi Bohras in their local community is exemplary. Their commitment to serving others and contributing to the betterment of the community is truly inspiring.”

Haley Stevens

Representative

“The Dawoodi Bohra community’s values of fighting food insecurity, caring for people in need, and limiting waste are aligned with purpose…. I find this commitment inspirational…”

Reverend Mary "Mimi" Biedron

CROP Hunger Walk

“Thank you for the work you’re doing to promote harmony and peace in our world. I’ll always be supportive of your efforts to help the local community.”

Leroy Comrie

Senator of New York

“From my early days on patrol to rising through the ranks to elected sheriff, I have always appreciated how much this community respects us and welcomes us.”

James Mendrick

Sheriff of DuPage County

“Your Holiness, under your guidance, the Dawoodi Bohra community has made and continues to make incredible contributions to the global community.”

John Kerry
