Helping Kids of the Little City Foundation, Illinois

The Dawoodi Bohras of greater Chicago joined other community members to donate, wrap and help deliver over 250 Christmas presents for the children at Little City Foundation of Palatine, Illinois. Helping the less fortunate in society is a priority for the Dawoodi Bohras, and forms part of their global Project Rise initiative.

Little City Foundation is dedicated to serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing the best options and opportunities to live safely, learn continuously, explore creatively, and work productively throughout their lifetime.  Their founding principles, along with a therapeutic community approach, continue to guide programs and services for children and adults of all ages, enabling Little City to create hope, change lives and challenge the limits placed on individuals with disabilities.

Tanya Syperski of Little City Foundation thanked the Dawoodi Bohra community of Chicago for being so generous as well as accommodating, adding, “It is truly appreciated by Little City more than you know.”

The event would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of over 60 volunteers who donated their time and money.  Thanks to them, over 60 children will be spending this Christmas with a little more joy and happiness.
