OUR COMMUNITY
The Dawoodi Bohra families of Los Angeles have lived and worked peacefully in and around Los Angeles for many years. Our 166 families worship at the Ezzi masjid, or mosque, in Woodland Hills, which was inaugurated by His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS in 2015.
With a particular focus on hard work and education, most American Dawoodi Bohras are doctors, nurses, teachers, academics and successful business people. Our LA community has 53 locally owned small businesses, including 15 owned by women; 22 healthcare professionals, including 10 women; and professionals in information technology, legal, and engineering. In addition, close to all of the students in our community go on to higher education in colleges and universities.
We are proud of the contribution we make to American society. Our members are regularly involved in local community upliftment projects, and our children are encouraged to be active and engaged citizens. We are also members of Interfaith Associations, and are committed to working with all communities in order to make a positive contribution to local society.
We invite you to visit us at our masjid in Woodland Hills, where you will receive a warm welcome and a genuine offer of support to make our diverse communities even safer and more respectful places to live and work.
