We are the Dawoodi Bohra Community of San Jose.

Our community of 150 families have lived peaceably in the Silicon Valley “conurbation” for
nearly five decades. Being in the heart of SV, a majority of us are engineering, research, and
executive professionals in the technology industries, notably in high-tech, health-tech, biotech,
and fin-tech. With the spirit of entrepreneurship deeply rooted within us, many in our community
have also seen success establishing business ventures. All of our children go to college and more
than 90% pursue post-graduate education and move on to become engaged and productive
citizens.

Our ethos of love, compassion, and philanthropy motivates us to give back to society through
upliftment initiatives, participation in inter-faith conferences, and volunteering for and
financially contributing to non-profit organizations for the betterment of humanity.
We invite you to visit us at our masjid (mosque) in Palo Alto, where you will receive a warm
welcome and a genuine offer of support to make our diverse communities even safer,
increasingly harmonious, and more respectful places to live and work.
