The Dawoodi Bohra families of Tampa and Orlando have resided in the “the state of sunshine and oranges” for over five decades. With more than 80 families, our entire community in Tampa and Orlando is particularly excited with the completion of its first masjid, which awaits formal inauguration by His Holiness, Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.

With an emphasis on healthcare, law, real estate and government, Dawoodi Bohras span the professional spectrum. In Tampa, we are proud of the doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, women small business owners, IT professionals and students who call Tampa home. Whether studying at the University of South Florida, supporting the U.S. government as a federal contractors, or running local businesses such as Planet Smoothie, ZK Printing and BetterInfoTech, Tampa Dawoodi Bohras are proud to be a part of the thriving and growing Tampa community.

In Tampa, we are also working shoulder to shoulder with our faith partners in the Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities to raise monies for those in need.

Each year, we host an annual Christmas gathering to give presents and food to our immediate neighborhood community, and we are a key partner of the annual Tampa Bay Food Drive, “Feeding Tampa Bay.”

For the last four years, Tampa Dawoodi Bohras have been a central part of the “Keep Tampa Clean” campaign. We do our best to provide to people in need, we work hard to protect and enhance the natural environmental, and we celebrate and support local women entrepreneurs. Our civic contributions have been noted by Governor Rick Scott, Mayor Jane Castor and Tampa City Councilman Frank Reddick and Orlando Gudes on several occasions.

We invite you to visit our center in Tampa so that we can extend to you a warm welcome and join hands in creating a kinder, tolerant and more inclusive society for all of us to live and work.
