The Dawoodi Bohras of Virginia are a small close-knit community nestled along the western corridor of the Washington DC region, growing with the urban expansion of Northern Virginia.

Our members have resided here since the early 1980s and now have 70 families living, working and striving to make an impact in our local community.

Our community center is the Burhani Markaz located in Chantilly, just south of Washington Dulles International airport.  The Bohras of Virginia formally established their jamaat (congregation) known as Anjuman-e-Mohammedi in 2011 and have grown into a vibrant community of professionals, IT specialists, consultants, physicians, lawyers, entrepreneurs and government employees.

Dawoodi Bohra Muslims peacefully coexist with members of all other faiths and nationalities across the globe, under the guidance of their leader, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.  Bohras in Virginia likewise, seek to live as exemplary citizens of the United States, true to one of their core tenets which establishes patriotism as an integral part of faith.

Bohras are a peace loving, industrious and vibrant community who value education, entrepreneurship, community service and social upliftment.  The community endeavours to live by the teachings of  His Holiness, who is revered for his guidance, benevolence and compassion for humanity.

The Dawoodi Bohras of Virginia welcome you to visit us at our Markaz, or community center, where you will always receive a warm welcome.
