Our Community in Miami

Our Community in Miami

With the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay as our backdrop and the energy of South Beach just a drive away, the Dawoodi Bohra community has called Miami home for years. Here, amidst swaying palm trees and year-round sunshine, we’ve built a close-knit community that flourishes under Miami’s signature coastal beauty and boundless opportunities.

Where We Are

Our community, made up of 32 families and 170 members, is nestled across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach—places as vibrant as the people who call them home. At the heart of it all is our community center where faith, family, and connection come together.

Living in Miami means embracing the best of coastal living: the turquoise waves of the Atlantic, the art deco charm of Ocean Drive, and the serene Everglades just beyond the skyline. You’ll find us volunteering at local food banks, organizing community beach clean-ups, or savoring a cafecito in Little Havana. Wherever we are, we stay true to our values of compassion, service, and togetherness.

Where We Are

Our Story

The story of the Dawoodi Bohras in Miami began with a handful of families who were drawn to this coastal city’s promise of opportunity and its reputation as a global crossroads. Originally from India, our community has always been known for its entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to family. Today, the Dawoodi Bohra community of Miami is a vibrant group of 170 members spread across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach.

Our Story

Our Community

We began our journey in Miami with just a few families, drawn by the city’s promise of opportunity and global connections. Hailing from India and steeped in a tradition of entrepreneurship, we quickly found a home in this vibrant coastal city.

Our members now play a vital role in Miami’s economy and culture. We run small businesses in Little Haiti, advance healthcare innovations, and shape young minds as educators in Miami-Dade schools. Others contribute to the booming tech scene in Brickell or support the city’s thriving tourism industry.

Our story isn’t just about work—it’s about the connections we build. We proudly collaborate on local initiatives like beach preservation and interfaith events, ensuring that Miami continues to be a welcoming and beneficial place for all.
