Deep in the heart of Texas, the Dawoodi Bohra community in San Antonio is a close-knit group of over 30 families. Despite being smaller in size compared to major metropolitan centers, we cherish the bonds that make us feel like one large family.

San Antonio is located in southern Texas and is renowned for its rich history and dynamic culture. Our Dawoodi Bohra families are spread across the city, but we come together regularly for prayers, celebrations, and community initiatives. Our community embodies the warmth and hospitality this city is famous for.

Our journey in San Antonio began decades ago when the first Dawoodi Bohra families settled here. Today, our community comprises families who have grown deeply rooted in this beautiful city, bringing together a blend of traditions, values, and modernity.

From young children excelling in local schools to students pursuing higher education, our members are active in shaping San Antonio’s future. We also have individuals who pursue specialized religious studies at Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, the premier Arabic institution of the Dawoodi Bohra community.
Our emphasis on Quranic memorization is a cornerstone of our identity, and we proudly support members of all ages in achieving this spiritual milestone.

The Dawoodi Bohras of San Antonio are committed to giving back to the city we call home.
Serving the Wider Community
During Ramadan, we open our doors to interfaith neighbors for iftar dinners, fostering connections and understanding. On national holidays like Independence Day, we express our gratitude to first responders and healthcare workers who play vital roles in our city. We also give support to refugees during the holidays through toy drives and make an effort in sustainable efforts towards protecting the environment.
