The Dawoodi Bohra community in San Jose began growing in the mid-20th century, with many individuals initially coming for higher education and professional opportunities in the burgeoning tech industry. Over time, our community has expanded, becoming a cornerstone of faith and connection in the Bay Area.

The Dawoodi Bohras of Seattle have a long-standing commitment to giving back to our state and our nation.

During Ramadan, we like to welcome our interfaith neighbors and friends to frequent iftar dinners. On Independence Day, we often hold events to celebrate our nation that express gratitude to first responders and healthcare workers especially, who are the pillars of our state’s well-being. Actively supporting hospitals, contributing to charitable organizations, and prioritizing societal well-being are at the forefront of our various initiatives. Environmental responsibility, particularly, is central to our commitment, with our community notably supporting sustainability events year-round.
