SEATTLE BOHRAS THANK LOCAL HEROES FOR FIGHTING WILDFIRES

October 3, 2020
Various states across the country have been fighting against wildfires this summer and the Washington State Firefighters were at the forefront of the rescue and firefighting efforts in the state. Members of the the Seattle Dawoodi Bohra community expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to all the brave firefighters of the state of Washington, who have so selflessly served on the front lines in protecting lives and property of their fellow communities.

“We recognize and appreciate the extraordinary courage and bravery shown by the firefighters to leave behind their family and go in harm’s way to serve and protect total strangers. Our community prays for your safety and wellbeing each day.”

On October 1st, Dawoodi Bohras of the Greater Seattle region visited the Sammamish Fire Station. Children of the community expressed their gratitude by making Thank You cards for the firefighters. Some volunteers along with a few children visited the Sammamish Fire Station to hand over the cards and a small token of appreciation. The local chapter of Dawoodi Bohras, Anjuman-e-Burhani Seattle, also presented a letter of appreciation. One Dawoodi Bohra member of the community, Shabbir Sharaf, commented, “We recognize and appreciate the extraordinary courage and bravery shown by the firefighters to leave behind their family and go in harm’s way to serve and protect total strangers. Our community prays for your safety and wellbeing each day.”
