The Dawoodi Bohra community of Columbia, SC and surrounding areas worship at the Al-Murtazawi markaz (worship hall) in Cayce SC as part of the Columbia chapter of Anjuman-E-Husami, South Carolina.

Our Columbia chapter was started in early 2000 with initially a few families congregating from homes for worship and fellowship and soon with more families getting added, we got our markaz (Worship Hall) in Cayce SC in the year 2011. There are currently 15 families that gather together at the markaz in Cayce, SC. Our members range from school aged children to senior citizens who are all engaged and welcoming members of our congregation. Additionally, our members are trailblazers in the interfaith discussions in South Carolina- members of community have participated in conferences and been on panels on the topic. The members of the Columbia Bohras are well respected in the community with several of them having their own businesses and others being professionals in the fields of health, information technology, and academia.

Though our group is small we have continued to grow in size and devotion over the years and have no intention to slow down. It is our hope that one day, His Holiness, Dr. Syedna Muffadal Saifuddin would grace us with his presence in our city, state and in our homes.
