Tampa Dawoodi Bohras Walk for Physical and Mental Health

The Dawoodi Bohras of Tampa organized a community-wide “Tampa Walk Day” to increase awareness of the need to keep physically active and to encourage members to make exercise a part of their daily lives.

The event was held on a beautiful Sunday morning last month and was attended by participants of all ages, from children through to grandparents.  Families gathered at Riverwalk Park in downtown Tampa, and walked along the river for two hours.

Maintaining health and fitness is a priority for members of the Dawoodi Bohras all over the world.  As well as eating healthily, organising group discussions of mental well-being, and participating in sports, Dawoodi Bohras across the globe are striving to be more active in their everyday lives.

The Dawoodi Bohras of Tampa intend to continue their group walks to maintain physical health in the company of family and friends.
