I was grateful for the opportunity to join the Dawoodi Bohras of Detroit to clean up Farmington Hills and protect the natural resources we are blessed to steward. I’m proud of the work Governor Whitmer and I have done to protect Michigan’s environment, and I encourage every Michigander to take time to step up and make a difference.

The month of Ramadan embodies the spirit all of us at City Hall should be bringing to our work to make Los Angeles a place we’re proud to call home. It is a month that provides us opportunities for heightened charity, for good deeds, for community, for rededicating ourselves to spiritual undertaking, and for renewed vigor in all that we do. It is a pleasure for me and my staff to be here, and to join hands with this community that truly lives out the values of its faith: a faith that is practised by serving others in their communities.
